I am a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, hold a current practising certificate and meet the annual Continuing Education requirements set down by the Institute.  I have over 30 years experience in the profession, and have a recent university qualification gained at the University of Waikato in 2003.

I have moved in to semi-retirement, and conduct a small practice from my home in Blenheim. I use my aeroplane as a means of getting around to visit my clients during the course of the year.  I have over 1,200 hours cross country flying experience as a private pilot.  Some people express concern that such travel must be risky; I personally feel  safer in the air than on our roads. And the bonus of course is our marvellous New Zealand scenery.

A small practice does of course face many challenges, the biggest one being to keep abreast of rapidly changing and complex income tax legislation. I have access to various sources of expert opinion on complex matters, and use these resources as needed.
